Early Educational Journey
Bom and brought up in a small village in Southern Taiwan, Arvin Hung completed his graduation from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in 2000, where he studied mathematics. Those four years at NCKU helped him develop an incredibly robust thinking process to analyze the challenges by identifying the key impact factors. Over the years, his analytical approach has helped him navigate complex problems with clarity and precision. Later, he pursued an MBA degree with a major in Marketing from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. His overall educational journey over the years has helped him integrate quantitative analysis and human psychology into organizational decision-making.
A Humble Beginning to Success
After completing his MBA, Arvin joined TSMC, the largest semiconductor foundry in Taiwan, as an Account Production Planner. "During my time at TSMC, I led a team that worked with some of the major clients, including Qualcomm, Broadcom, Microsoft, and Freescale. Those six years at TSMC expanded my business worldview, providing deep insights into how a world-class company achieves its goals through the hard work of smart and diligent people", explains Arvin.
In early 2009, he transitioned to the solar Industry by joining Motech. From the upstream of polysilicon and wafer-to-solar cells to modules and the solar farm, his tenure at Motech helped him acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the entire solar value chain, providing him with deep critical insights into the business dynamics that are driving renewable energy. In February 2017, while Arvin was assigned to Motech's power business unit to develop the power plant locally in Taiwan, there was a revision of the Energy Act by the Taiwanese government, officially opening up the solar market.
Joining the Green Revolution with MHP
In December 2018, after extensive experience in the Industry, Arvin, driven by his passion for the renewable energy sector, finally started his entrepreneurial venture Machang Power (MHP).
It was his experience at TSMC and Motech that taught Arvin to focus on creating a company that values integrity, commitment, and innovation. The firm leverages the best technologies and strategic insights to deliver high-quality projects to its clients.

An optimist, Arvin's leadership approach primarily revolves around finding opportunities in every challenge, He always encourages his team to have a positive outlook and can have good adaptability based on the situation.
According to him, the result will start changing for good once your mindset and strategy change. Currently, as the Founder & President at MHP, Arvin's primary responsibilities include providing strategic direction to the organization. Apart from guiding and providing mentorship to senior colleagues, Arvin is also actively involved in market strategy planning, project monitoring, and resource allocation at the firm.

Today, with over 15 years of extensive expertise and experience in the industry, Arvin, over the years, has deeply studied the solar industry from different perspectives, such as technology, market, policy, regulation, and so on. His vision for the industry is aptly supported by a strong team. Most of his team members have been working with him for over a decade and have a strong understanding of government regulations and solar technology. "Instead of hiring outsiders, we have strong confidence in our expertise and mostly do all the jobs ourselves. We strongly believe that the more details of the projects we can control, the higher the possibility the project can be completed faster without any issues", shares Arvin.
Starting its journey in 2018, under Arvins strong leadership skills and guidance, MHP has come a long way in a short time span in terms of client collaboration and overall growth. While the organization currently has an overall capacity of 150 megawatts, Arvin envisions the firm to experience further growth. "Our future roadmap is to become a leading Gigawatt player in the solar industry. My vision for the organization is to become a giant, not only in the solar industry but also in the renewable energy field. We are also working on venturing into other renewable energy opportunities to diversify our business and skills. So, we are currently looking for good partners who can explore the market with us", Arvin signs off.
