Tell us about yourself. Also, throw some light on the inception of Art Yarn Exports India.
I started my journey as a textile graduate working in production and machine service on the shop floor before moving up to become a Project Executive at a textile company, eventually rising to the level of whole-time director cum president, I founded my own company, Art-Yarn Exports in 2004, and since then it has been in operation for more than 2 decades.

At Art-Yarn, we are passionate about the yarn industry, and our goal is to continue to innovate and grow while maintaining our commitment to quality, recycling, sustainability and we pride ourselves on our commitment to customer satisfaction.
What strategies is Art-Yarn implementing to sustain its dynamic growth and strengthen its position in the niche market?
We have expanded further with our concerned sister company – Vartman Textiles, based in UAE, serving as a central hub for sourcing products from Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and India, and offering the best sourcing solutions for specialty products like technical textiles and yarns. Additionally, we have Texrica India Organics Private Limited to cater to the home textiles market – including towels, bed sheets, knitted fabrics, and woven fabrics.
Such dynamic growth across verticals has also led Art-Yarn to have a strong footprint in niche products across markets. Our expertise in selection of raw material, modern ginning plants, latest state of art machinery, manufacturing, quality policy, after sales service and complete customer satisfaction, has made us a prominent player in this segment, and our goal is to continue on this trajectory in our future”, adds Pradeep.
What are the primary services you offer? What strategies have been most effective for Art- Yarn in penetrating global markets?
Many of our customers purchasing cotton, polyester-cotton and blended yarns from us, requested specialty yarn, technical textiles, and other synthetic items. With this in mind, we diversified our offering from yarn, fabrics and home textiles providing full integrated solutions under one roof with effective supply chain management.
Some key strategies that have been most effective for us in penetrating global markets include offering value-added yarn solutions to meet the unique requirements of our clients, working with clients for providing cost-effective solutions, and having a rigorous quality control system to ensure the highest quality standards. What are your client profiles? How does Art- Yarn’s certifications enhance competitiveness in the international textile markets?
The use of ES Governance has gained great importance as the world moves towards global warming. Consumers, especially our customers, are increasingly interested in eco-friendly, organic and recycled products. In most cases, they rely on sustainability.
Our business creates neutral carbon nets using a sustainable strategy. The wind farms that provide clean energy are installed by our parent firm. As GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, OCS and BCI Certified yarn suppliers, we primarily supply recycled and organic yarns. Notwithstanding the fact that we must sell yarn to knitters and weavers, our primary attention is on recycled and sustainable products.
As a three-star export house, what actions do you believe the government should take to increase the export market of India?
The government can boost cotton yield and support farmers by improving seeds, irrigation facilities, and marketing to ensure a steady supply of raw materials for the textile industry, reducing dependence on imports and ensuring a steady supply of cotton. Also, trade fairs and textile parks are crucial for India’s export earnings. Trade fairs allow exporters to showcase their products, while textile parks provide infrastructure and support to the textile industry, which is a significant contributor to export earnings. To include, lowering interest rates on export credit can enhance Indian exports, global competitiveness by reducing borrowing costs and promoting the use of government- provided interest rate subsidies. Additionally, simplifying and easing the process for claiming the refund of GST for the exporting companies can be benefited.
Nevertheless, encouraging more ‘Make in India’ initiative will be highly valuable, aiming more on exports of value-added products. India being the largest producer of cotton, the raw material however is majorly exported further to Vietnam and Bangladesh for making garments or textile products. Supporting and stimulating more ‘Make in India’ will be worthwhile in boosting the export market of India.
