JANUARYASIA BUSINESS OUTLOOK8Gautam Aggarwal has been named Division President for South Asia and Country Corporate Officer for India by Mastercard, effective January 1. He succeeds Nikhil Sahni, who has been promoted to a new regional role within the company. Aggarwal's new responsibilities include overseeing all of Mastercard's activities in South Asia and India, including product management, interactions with customers and regulators, marketing, and more. In addition, as the head of the payment technology firm's South Asia division, based in Mumbai, he will oversee operations in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan, in addition to India.Aggarwal joined Mastercard in 2014, bringing over a decade of experience in technology, sales and business development, product management, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
