According to a recent report, India's data centre market is expected to grow from 375MW in H1 2020 to 1,078MW by 2025, at a CAGR of 21 percent. Currently, the data centre industry in India is concentrated in four cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, which account for the majority of data centre sites and IT load capacities. Mumbai, in particular, has the most installed capacity. The pandemic increased the demand for more data centres, as businesses adopted remote and hybrid work models.
