Driven by the impacts of political stability, tax neutrality, and the rising numbers of multiple international consulting firms in the region, Singapore has been rearing towards becoming Asia’s main financial services hub. According to a recent report by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the development is also steered by the growing number of financial consultants and the influx of family offices and funds, which serve as the driving engines of startups in Singapore. The significant growth, however, has also led to a radical change in the demands of clients.
Most clients now prefer a financial advisor who strives to deliver customized solutions tailored to their needs. If you are a business that is scouting for such a company, look no further than Aristagora Asset Management, an independent financial advisory group. In the Singaporean market that is claimed to be saturated with financial advisories, Aristagora has been standing head and shoulders above the rest through its personalized and unbiased services since its inception in 2018.
“Aristagora is a portmanteau of the two Greek terms meaning best (‘Arist’) and marketplace (‘agora’). For our discerning clients, this is what we endeavor to create”, says Anthony Lee, CEO of Aristagora Asset Management. While it has emerged as a trusted provider today, Aristagora Singapore faced multiple roadblocks in its initial journey to establish clients’ trust. The pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine War that spurred inflation further made the situation complicated.
“However, during this tough journey, we continued to work closely with our clients and partners to share our ideas. We were also able to display our competency during this time with the right advice and solutions that helped us not only to gain trust but to acquire new clients for our firm in Asia through referrals”, addsAnthony. The zest to work closely with the client still remains an accelerating force for the company to meet and deliver on growing industry expectations. Vouching for excellence is an impressive portfolio of eminent clients based in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Europe.

In the case of fund management, Aristagora Singapore has propelled high-net-worth clients to invest in Variable Capital Company (VCC) funds as per their profile and needs, which, in turn, fuels MAS’s initiative to make Singapore a global financial hub. Besides the VCC funds, Aristagora Japan also manages funds like the R&T Excellentia Global Fund of Funds (FoF), Arist Fund, Tokumei Kumiai Fund, Aristagora Venture Capital (VC), the Israel Technology L.P.Fund, and the Value-Up Private Equity (PE) Fund. In addition, to know the clients, understand their needs, and craft bespoke financial strategies, the advisory conducts customer due diligence or know your customer (KYC) analysis as per the MAS to further ensure that the client meets the regulatory as well as internal requirements.
Ahead of the Curve
In the ever-growing finance industry, Aristagora has managed to stand second to none owing to its team’s industry experience, ability to make the right investments, and prowess at knowing the client’s demands better. With such attributes in its inventory, the company seeks to move steadily into the future by expanding its team and business and is currently in the process of starting a new fund for a Singapore-Japan related investment. “It is a continuous journey where we hope to have a wonderful long-term partnership with our clients in their wealth creation, management, and legacy planning”, concludes Anthony.
