Leadership and Life Coaching with Integrated-work and GIFTS Model
AnantOm Consulting partnered with an MNC whose leadership felt stuck, and inept at creating cohesiveness. Exploratory conversations revealed emotional stress causing cognitive distortions and fear. Through the GIFTS model, leaders identified their life-purpose, which, was not aligned with organizational goals. Leaders were driving sub-cultures that conflicted with organizational vision. GIFTS model chart provided clarity on their current state and how to coalesce their life purpose with professional goals.
Goal Setting: Self-awareness through Prana (life force), Holistic Well-Being and Positively Reframing. Meditation and mindful breathing enhanced prana within the body. Blissful oneness emanated positive vibrations, love, compassion, and a calming presence. Leaders experienced clarity in thinking. Holistic well-being in leaders came about from yoga, mindful nutrition stimulated dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins and decline in adrenaline and cortisol levels, releasing stress. AnantOm Consulting’s US client, merging with an Asian company felt challenged by cultural differences that amplified complexity, lack of clarity, and communication. Merging entity leaders acknowledged cutting-edge technology had the potential to grow exponentially and people's adaptability, and professional development incrementally.
Unclear organizational direction made teams feel less worthy and incapable of accelerating development to match technological innovation. Further, VUCA implications adversely affected them interpersonally and emotionally.
Exploring core values of belonging, purpose, teamwork, and integrity, emerging new teams reframed VUCA - Vision, Unconditional Positive Regard, Change Adaptation (communication, clarity), Agility (learning, embracing diversity).
Integrated-work, GIFTS model, created stillness amidst movement externally and internally. Learning to concentrate, and quieten mind chatter, leaders and teams cultivated inner peace, confidently navigating challenges with clarity and equanimity. Resourced within, we co-created achievable success factors amalgamating the person, and their learning with practical aspects of emerging roles. Nurturing DEI in interpersonal communication, we further augmented belonging (DEIB) to develop new relationships. Credence in organizational ability to change, motivated leaders and teams to embrace the merger, carving their success path. Continuing forward progress, and overcoming barriers, the merged entity reported a 129 percent increase in highly engaged teams and a 52 percent increase in engagement scores overall within their first year.
