Considering average cost of electricity at Rs 5 a unit, DISCOMS lose revenue of about Rs. 1 lakh crore per annum. Genus also specializes in providing end-to-end metering solutions (AMI) with communication modules and software (HES, MDM) under our Smart Energy Management Solution. As mentioned earlier, the manufacturing plants with a total production capacity of over 10 million meters per annum are located across Jaipur, Haridwar and Guwahati.
Genus’ key customers include the major State electricity boards (SEB’s) and private utilities. Genus also has an engineering, construction, and contracts (ECC) division which complement the existing meter business.
