There is no mystery to the importance of marketing, be it any product, which is precisely why marketing consultancy firms are so important for a brand. From developing a marketing plan to meeting business goals to branding and strategic planning - every bit is required to increase visibility, sales and customer retention. Today’s competitive market demands that every brand has the right exposure that truly exposes their many attributes with accurate focus. Nestled in this space is Seven Brands, an international marketing consultancy specializing in high growth markets across Africa, Asia and The Middle East. Their mission is to enable Middle Eastern, African, and Asian brands to get on the list of the top hundred global brands.
They specialize in creating, marketing, managing, communicating, implementing and managing international brands that appeal to multicultural audiences and consumers, bringing international insight, local understanding and on the ground technical expertise to help empower the next generation of international power brands. Simply put, they make local brands global and global brands local. According to Jasmine Montgomery, Founder and CEO, “At Seven Brands, we believe that brand strategy is at the heart of everything. We value brands to put them on the balance sheet and that understanding of brand valuation gives us genuine insight into how to build economic value into brands, something that is missing in a lot of the agencies in the markets we work in.“
Versatile Hybrid Service Offerings With An Edge
Seven Brands delivers unique offerings by giving their clients a hybrid London/local approach. Clients get the London caliber of strategic and creative advice alongside an ability to speak the client’s local language both, literally and metaphorically. The London team acts as an “Intel Inside” to local teams delivering world class work for clients in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. This enables clients to get the collective goodness of both worlds in an international team that gives them a competitive edge, world class work with local flavour.
The London-based team, while being located in the world’s creativity capital, is powered by strategists and conceptual thinkers, including experts in advertising, brand valuation, strategy, retail, digital, brand identity, social media as well as culture change. The local teams are spread across Singapore, Cairo, Dubai, Kenya, Oman and Bahrain which provide hands on account management, production & social media content creation & management as well as strategic input via local insight into consumers & trends.
Seven Brands works with many esteemed international brands such as Coca-Cola, Mercedes and Jeep on the localisation of their brands for consumers in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. They work with local companies in EMEA and beyond seeking to develop and communicate world class brands. Seven Brands’s core capabilities include Brand Strategy: brand creation, repositioning, naming, architecture, trademark licensing; Advertising: tv, radio, online, outdoor, print, inserts, leaflets, activation; Brand Valuation: roi modelling, brand drivers, brand strength, financial contribution; Brand Environments: retails, office, lounge, events, road-shows; Brand Design: identity, applications, guidelines; Digital Branding: website, mobile, social networks and Living The Brand: internal communication, culture change, services training.
Enabling Businesses With Innovation And Growth
The biggest concerns that clients come to Seven Brands with is the lack of world-class work from local agencies. For some clients who are strictly local, their competition is, nevertheless, increasingly coming from global brands. For example, NIC and NCBA banks in Kenya whose footprint is African but whose competition consists of the likes of Standard Bank, Barclays, HSBC). For others, such as Coca Cola, the challenge is to take what comes out of Atlanta and to Africanize it whilst still maintaining Coca Cola’s global design standards. For Seven Brands, innovation and growth go hand in hand. They are constantly improving, rehauling and creating newer ways to bring brands into focus. To stay in sync with the shifting dynamics of digital and social media, they are constantly innovating in those fields to stay ahead of the algorithms on digital platforms and staying current on local trends.
Not surprisingly, Seven Brands has been working with various industry heavyweights—they did the strategy and design for StarHub’s brand refresh in 2020 and they created the advertising launch campaign for Star Hub's 5G network, beating Singtel to the launch of their 5G; they worked with Zain, one of the Middle East’s biggest telco brands for 12 years during which they built it into a brand asset worth $2 billion; African markets. This aside, they also ran two very successful digital campaigns for Face book in Bangladesh, aimed at inspiring women not currently on the platform to join Face book. The campaign substantially exceeded its targets. They joined hands with Edrington, owners of McCallan Whiskey with their launch of a new brand across Asia Pacific by running the multi-country market sizing project across Greater China. Currently, they are in the works with Aldar, one of the Middle East’s largest real estate developers.
They are constantly improving, Rehauling and creating newer ways To bring brands into focus WITH Seven Brands give clients a 'best of both worlds' Combination of global strategic advice And local creative implementation
