The Philippines' first mobile EV charging station, Power-on-Wheels (POW), was formally introduced by ACMOBILITY, one of the leading suppliers of EV charging solutions in the nation.
The purpose of this new service is to facilitate EV charging, particularly for those without access to nearby charging stations. EV users may now charge their cars at home, in their condo, or even at work with the help of POW.
Fast DC (direct current) chargers that can deliver up to 120 kWh of power are included with the POW units. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and certain plug-in hybrids that use a CCS2 socket can both use these chargers. The service was created in collaboration with Singapore-based Power Up Tech (P.UP), a mobile charging business that operates throughout Asia. ACMobility introduces tested mobile charging technology to the Philippines through this collaboration.
Several POW units are currently in operation in certain areas of Makati, Mandaluyong, and Taguig to facilitate charging, and additional locations will be added soon. These mobile units will make it easier for condo owners, office workers, and business owners to charge their EVs in areas and commercial districts without established charging stations.
The Evro app, which links EV owners to charging stations, makes it easy to schedule a POW service. Users must visit their app profile, select the ACMobility Membership section, and select the subscription plan that best suits their requirements in order to sign up for a POW plan. Users can finish their subscription by going to the payment page after completing a brief registration form.
