Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, has established its presence in Bangladesh, a new country for the group.
Opening its first office in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is an integral part of the group’s organic growth strategy, says the provider, to strengthen its footprint across the South Asian continent and provide additional solutions and expertise to customers. Azelis’ rapid growth in South Asia, along with the support of its partners, enabled Azelis to further invest in its geographical expansion.
“Expanding into Bangladesh is a strong reflection of our commitment to organic business growth and remaining a leader in our industry through providing innovative solutions to a wider audience,” said Aparna Khurana, Azelis India managing director. “Vivek will be an excellent country manager and I am fully confident in his ability to drive growth with his years of experience in the specialty chemicals distribution industry, working for multi-national corporations in both India and Bangladesh.”
As one of the world’s fastest growing economies, Bangladesh is a hub that offers many new business opportunities in key markets across the life sciences and industrial chemicals industries. Azelis’ Bangladesh office serves the pharma, food, agricultural, CASE and personal care markets, complementing its more than 30 offices across the region. This new expansion brings Azelis closer to its customers in Bangladesh, deepening customer intimacy and supporting growth in Asia Pacific, while also enabling closer collaboration with partners and reducing complexity for their sales organization.
To ensure continued business excellence and the appropriate extension of Azelis’ culture and vision, Vivek Pandey, an Azelis India employee with more than 16 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry with strong visionary and managerial skills, has been appointed as country manager for Bangladesh, relocating to Dhaka with his family.
“Through our new Bangladesh office, we aim to support our existing principals by bringing their product portfolio to a larger audience, leading to new and untapped opportunities in a market with high potential,” said Vivek Pandey, Azelis India business manager and Bangladesh country manager. “We will also be able to better support local customers directly, by bringing our sales capabilities, technical expertise and supply chain solutions closer to them, along with better sourcing and product availability, as we collaborate to develop solutions that meet their needs.”
