Africa's first InfoValley Industry-Education Integration Park was opened in Lagos by important Chinese and Nigerian partners with the goal of promoting industrial innovation and skill development for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
By combining industry demands with vocational training, the program aims to give local companies the technological know-how they need to succeed in the rapidly changing industrial and digital scene. The gathering, which highlighted Nigeria's potential as a regional center for industrial transformation, brought together government representatives, educators, and leaders of the sector. In order to grow operations, increase productivity, and increase trade throughout Africa, experts emphasized the significance of SMEs utilizing technology and vocational education.
Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, the deputy president of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), emphasized the need of knowledge-based economic development. “If we work together to improve skills in agriculture, infrastructure, and energy solutions, we can empower SMEs and drive sustainable growth,” he said.
The collaboration is anticipated to open up new doors for small firms by assisting them in integrating into international supply chains and digital marketplaces, given China's increasing investment in Nigeria's industrial and educational sectors.
