Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a Philippine fiber broadband provider, said that it will improve its nationwide network by implementing Ribbon Communications Inc.'s artificial intelligence-enabled data transmission technology. According to the company's statement, the action is a part of Converge's efforts to satisfy the nation's increasing need for dependable, high-speed, low-latency connectivity.
Converge will deploy Ribbon's Muse Multilayer Automation Platform (MAP), which uses analytics and automation to optimize IP Optical network operations. It will be better able to handle the growing data traffic from applications like cloud services and the Internet of Things (IoT) thanks to the AI-driven platform.
“We are planning important developments in the products and services we offer to our customers, and it’s vital that our infrastructure can support these,” said Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy.
Converge's first partnership with Ribbon, which brought the company's 5-nanometer, 140Gbaud transmission chipset to Converge's network in North and Central Luzon, is extended by the most recent arrangement. Network capacity was raised to 1.2 terabits per second (Tbps) by the chipset. The AI-powered optical transmission solution will be implemented nationwide as part of the extended rollout, increasing the bandwidth provider's operating efficiency and data transmission capacity.
