Dassault Systèmes, the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), and Feiran Technology have announced a strategic partnership aimed at transforming Malaysia into a leading automotive hub in the ASEAN region. The three parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive innovation and growth in the automotive sector, aligning advanced technology, industry expertise, and education to ensure sustainable competitiveness on the global stage.
Central to the partnership is the establishment of a Centre of Excellence (COE) for digital innovation and skills development. Using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the COE will focus on developing future automotive talent through targeted training and certification programmes. The COE will house an Automotive Styling Studio, a Big Data Analytics Centre, and a Robotics Centre, all designed to address industry challenges while promoting Malaysia as a leader in automotive innovation.
A key highlight of the MoU is the launch of Malaysia’s first Dassault Systèmes Training and Certification Centre, located within the COE. The centre will offer certifications in product design, manufacturing, simulation, and collaborative operations, enabling the local workforce to adopt cutting-edge digital tools and practices.
As part of the collaboration, Dassault Systèmes will also provide advisory support for MARii’s initiatives, particularly around emerging technologies like electric vehicles and sustainability. By sharing knowledge and access to the latest advancements, the partnership aims to empower Malaysia’s automotive sector, further positioning it as a regional leader.
