Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Informa Group have revealed a strategic alliance aimed at establishing a worldwide leader in exhibitions and event management, with activities covering the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. The collaboration will establish a new firm, Informa International, anticipated to debut in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Based in Dubai, the new organization will cater to important markets for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) while broadening its primary event brands worldwide. The initiative bolsters Dubai’s objective of boosting the MICE sector's economic contribution, striving for AED 54 billion each year by 2033. Informa International will oversee more than 40 prominent events, such as Gulfood, GITEX, and the Dubai Airshow.
The collaboration will further extend DWTC’s brands into rapidly growing markets in Asia, Europe, and Africa, while bolstering Dubai’s status as an international business center. Through this partnership, DWTC and Informa aim to penetrate the rapidly expanding B2B events sector, fostering sustainable economic development and enhancing Dubai’s infrastructure with initiatives such as the Dubai Exhibition Centre.
Informa Group, a FTSE-100 firm and global leader in Live B2B Events, B2B Digital Services, and Academic Markets, has been active in the UAE for over 25 years, emphasizing B2B events. For over forty years, DWTC has excelled as a leader in B2B Events within the UAE. It possesses and manages the two primary venues in Dubai, the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre.
