The EGN CXO Higher Education Meet Bengaluru, conducted by Education Growth Network (EGN) India, took place successfully on February 8 at 11 AM at Vivanta Whitefield. This exclusive roundtable discussion brought together senior academic leaders to explore the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education.
The event saw involvement from vice-chancellors, principals, deans, and directors from leading universities and colleges. It provided a valuable platform for discussions on AI adoption in learning and administration, encouraging collaboration on and innovation in the education sector.
“Nowadays, everybody is using technology, right? Laptops are common. I actually see education in two phases—before COVID and after COVID. Before COVID, education was mostly in-person with minimal use of technology,” shared Anish Kumar, Asia AI Software Engineering Leader at Intel, the keynote speaker of the session.
The exclusive roundtable discussion enabled senior academic leaders to share knowledge and explore AI’s evolving role in education. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations, exchanged insights on AI-driven learning models, and discussed strategies for integrating AI effectively and positively.
Dr. Nitin Garg, Director and Founder of International School of Management Excellence (ISME), emphasized the importance of policy frameworks for AI in education. “Our campus is in Bangalore. My first question to policymakers is: What guidelines and rules do you expect to implement for AI in education? What are your concerns?” he asked, urging decision-makers to provide clarity and specific direction.
