Virta, a Finnish provider of electric vehicle charging services, has raised 85 million euros to expand its operations in Southeast Asia.
Investors such as Jolt funding, Future Energy Ventures, Helen Ventures, and Vertex Growth Fund contributed funding.
The monies would be used to expand the company's charging transactions in Asia Pacific. Within the next two years, the company hopes to grow into Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Virta, which has its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, intends to launch smart-charging capabilities for Asian markets later this year.
Virta has agreements in Southeast Asia with Thailand's EVolt Technology and Malaysia's VSD Automation.
