i2Cool, an innovative firm in electricity-free cooling solutions, has revealed a worldwide strategic alliance with Marubeni, a major general trading company in Japan. This partnership seeks to enhance the worldwide use of electricity-free cooling technology, specifically concentrating on the joint development of electricity-free cooling marine coatings and investigating innovative solutions in the shipping sector.
As extreme temperature weather becomes more common worldwide, the possibility of using electricity-free cooling technology is gaining more attention. This technology provides effective and groundbreaking energy-efficient cooling options for diverse situations, such as sustainable structures, industrial uses, and daily safeguarding. It has been applied in over 200 projects globally, encompassing more than 300,000 square meters.
i2Cool’s primary offering, i2Coating, serves as an excellent eco-friendly cooling option for structures and outdoor equipment, providing surface temperature decreases of up to 42˚C and reducing air conditioning energy expenses by 10% to 40%.
As per the agreement, both parties will work together to advance the worldwide adoption of electricity-free cooling technology, focusing especially on entering the Japanese market. The collaboration will also create advanced marine coatings designed to enhance solar reflection and infrared radiation on vessels, lowering cabin temperatures and energy consumption for air conditioning.
The firms plan to enhance their partnership in fundamental research, market promotion, and innovation in business models. Through ongoing investigation of new applications, they aim to deliver efficient solutions for enhancing energy efficiency, minimizing cooling energy use, and tackling global climate change issues.
