Indonesia and UK To Jointly Host JETCO Meeting to Increase Trade

Yesterday, Indonesia and the United Kingdom held the second Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) meeting to increase bilateral trade, which is worth £3.5 billion per year.

According to an official UK government release, UK minister for international trade Nigel Huddleston and Indonesia's vice minister of trade Jerry Sambuaga agreed to form a working group on digital economy and renewable energy opportunities.

Indonesia's economy is expected to be among the top ten in the world by 2035, and the seventh largest by 2050. JETCO was established in 2022 to aid in the promotion and development of trade.
