Kazutoshi Hashimoto Named as MD of Toshiba APAC

Mr. Kazutoshi Hashimoto has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., effective July 20, 2023. Mr. Hashimoto will be in charge of overseeing and expanding Toshiba's group-wide business presence in Southeast Asia, India, and Oceania, succeeding Mr. Hiroshi Fukuchi.

Toshiba Group aims to promote comprehensive and cross-sectional business strategies in order to achieve global market growth. Mr. Hashimoto will collaborate closely with Toshiba Corporation's newly formed Global Strategy and Business Development Division. This division will report directly to the President and will be responsible for developing Toshiba Group's global business strategy, assisting in the launch of new businesses in global markets, and strengthening global subsidiary governance.

Mr. Hashimoto has demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise over the years. Mr. Hashimoto has spent his career at Toshiba focusing on the semiconductor and storage product businesses, where he is responsible for System Large-Scale Integration (LSI). Mr. Hashimoto ventured into the Chinese market in 2012, seeking new challenges and international exposure, and joined Toshiba Electronics (China) Co., Ltd. After returning to Japan, he spent the majority of his career in the semiconductor industry, specialising in Discrete Devices and Optoelectronic Devices.
