Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari), a Malaysian clean energy solutions provider, has partnered with BMW Malaysia (BMW) to investigate the implementation of green mobility services and solutions, as well as renewable energy deployment.
Gentari said in a statement on Friday that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BMW through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd.
Gentari and BMW are currently exploring potential collaborations in areas such as the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at various facilities, including, among others, the BMW network of dealerships; various EV fleet solutions in the Malaysia market; value-added services for BMW EV owners such as EV charging subscription plans, electric forecourts, portable charging, and mobile charging services; and the deployment of joint charging infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, stated that as the leading premium automaker with the most EVs in Malaysia, BMW is excited to collaborate with Gentari to develop more mobility solutions, services, and infrastructure to drive more clean and responsible technology and practises for the automotive industry in Malaysia.
