Mark Micallef has been appointed as Managing Director of Google Cloud's Southeast Asia unit. Mark will be in charge of driving regional strategy, direction, team development, and overall revenue performance for Google Cloud and Google Workspace, as well as collaborating with teams across Google to assist customers in reimagining their businesses and industries through bold and responsible artificial intelligence (AI) innovation.
Mark will report to Karan Bajwa, Google Cloud's Vice President of Asia Pacific. He comes to Google Cloud with more than 28 years of technical, sales, and management expertise from Anaplan, Cloudera, Citrix, and Trend Micro. Across his career in technology leadership, Mark has helped multiple businesses grow and scale in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Greater China, India, and Korea.
