MongoDB Atlas Launches on AWS in Malaysia and Thailand

MongoDB, recognized as the premier database solution for contemporary applications, has announced the availability of its renowned multi-cloud data platform, MongoDB Atlas, in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Regions located in Malaysia and Thailand. This development follows a remarkable growth trajectory in the Southeast Asia region, where the workforce has expanded by over 200% in the past two years, solidifying the region's significance within MongoDB’s Asia Pacific operations, which have surpassed $220 million USD in annual revenue.

MongoDB Atlas is already operational in various cloud regions, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea, and is driving MongoDB’s expansion throughout Southeast Asia and strengthening global business competitiveness.

The platform offers tens of thousands of global customers the performance, resilience, security, and flexibility necessary for developing modern applications. With the introduction of MongoDB Atlas on AWS, customers in Malaysia and Thailand across sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, agritech, and manufacturing—exemplified by companies like Botnoi and EasyEat—can now benefit from ultra-high availability, data sovereignty,and reduced latency.
