Partnerships between Filipino and Qatari enterprises are being strengthened by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, with the aim of boosting collaboration, driving innovation, and expanding the footprint of Filipino Companies in Qatar. According to Vince Lorenzo Liwanag, Commercial Attaché of the Philippine Trade Investment Centre (PTIC) – Riyadh, building partnerships is the first step toward broader business ventures. “Forging partnerships with companies in Qatar opens doors to joint ventures, expansions, and the exchange of knowledge between our nations,” Liwanag told Gulf Times.
The need to understand the Local business environment and align business objectives is important and Assuring sustainability, a new collaboration in business operations is achieved. The recent outbound Business Matching Mission (OBMM), Coordinated by the Department of Trade and Industry ( DTI) in Partnership with the Philippine Embassy in Doha and the Qatar Chamber, provided an opportunity for Filipino enterprises to connect with prospective partners in Qatar.
The OBMM also visits to Amman, Riyadh, and Dubai, Underlining the DTI's regional push for international market access. There is a Strategic partnership between the Philippines and Qatar in terms of trade and investments.
Liwanag said the OBMM is designed to trigger such momentum: “We’re pleased with the OBMM’s outcomes and look forward to more engagements that can drive growth and innovation between our business communities".
