Gogolook and RIZAL Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) have partnered to fight the spread of scams on online financial platforms. The RCBC Collaboration Hub, AT Yuchengco Center in Taguig City, is where the deal was formally signed.
In order to safeguard customers against online fraud, scams, and high-risk transactions that may compromise their financial security, RCBC will be working with Gogolook, a Taiwanese TrustTech business, to improve the security aspects of its digital application.
Man Woo Joo, Gogolook's chief operating officer; Lito Villanueva, RCBC's executive vice president and chief innovations and inclusion officer; Mel Migriño, Southeast Asia regional director for Information Security and Alliances and Philippine Country head; and Arniel Vincent Ong, president and CEO of RCBC Bankard Services Corp., all signed the memorandum of understanding.
Members of the Regulatory Alliance and Information Security also attended the historic signing between the bank and the TrustTech business. Joo and Villanueva were both hopeful about the partnership's results. After the explosion of digital banking and finance, the Philippines is still fighting the increase of online fraud.
"At RCBC, we recognize that as digital financial services continue to evolve, so do the threats that come with them. Gogolook's cutting-edge [artificial intelligence-driven] fraud detection, risk management solutions, and scam prevention tools align seamlessly with RCBC's vision of fostering a safer, more inclusive digital economy," Villanueva said.
