which will be increased to 1,100 KLPD in the second stage. According to Praj Industries' technology, the facility will employ sugarcane juice and Biosyrup as raw materials. Swaraj will generate the most ethanol in India and Asia when it reaches full capacity.
Swaraj produces sugar and ethanol. It already has a Praj-built ethanol plant with a capacity of 60 KLPD that uses molasses as a feedstock.
Swaraj and Praj have recently inked an agreement to increase capacity to 500 KLPD, which will be operational by the third quarter of FY 2022-23. Praj will use its superior sugarcane juice and Biosyrup to ethanol technologies to design, engineer, deliver, and commission the facility.
Swaraj claimed the company's founder and promoter, Ranjeetsinh Naik-Nimbhalkar, was aligning with the Indian government's ethanol blending scheme (E20). Swaraj was always eager to adopt novel technology to maintain effective factory operations, according to Pramod Chaudhari, founder chairman of Praj. According to Chaudhari, this historic initiative in Maharashtra is a big step forward in satisfying the government of India's blending regulations while also helping to decarbonize the transportation industry.
