Thoughtworks Acquires Australia's Private AWS Consulting Partner

Thoughtworks, a global technology consulting firm that combines strategy, design, and engineering, announced today the acquisition of Itoc, a privately held Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Consulting Partner and Cloud Managed Services Provider in Australia. The acquisition broadens Thoughtworks' ability to modernise and place digital at the centre of operations for clients on their cloud journeys.

Itoc, as one of the first AWS partners in the Asia Pacific region, provides a full range of consulting and implementation services on AWS, with over 100 certifications in areas such as security and SaaS. Itoc, founded in 2012, has approximately 70 employees who have worked on cloud migrations with established companies and digital natives across multiple industries, including Comestri, Frollo, Judobank, and MyTreasur-e. Itoc was named AWS' 2021 consulting partner of the year in Australia for its deep expertise with AWS services in developing new products, rethinking business models, and driving exceptional client solutions.

Thoughtworks also achieved AWS Premier Tier Services Partner status in 2022, the highest level of partnership achieved by less than 3% of AWS partners.

Itoc will add to Thoughtworks' enterprise modernization, platforms, and cloud service offerings in Australia, and the entire team will join the company. Mr. Steven and Mr. Haag will both remain on after the acquisition. Financial information is being withheld.
