Medtronic Korea said it appointed Yoo Seung-rok, the senior marketing director at the company, as its new vice president and managing director.
When Medtronic merged with Covidien in 2015, Yoo served as the Korean regional leader for the merger project and successfully led the merger operation. Yoo moved on to lead the Korean APV (aortic, peripheral, and venous) and CRDN (coronary and renal denervation) business unit and the North Asia endo-venous (eV) business unit in 2017. Most recently, he has been leading the entire Medtronic Korea marketing organization.
"It is a great honor to lead Medtronic's Korean offshoot, which has been striving to solve the most difficult health problems with the mission of 'Pain Relief, Health Restoration, and Life Extension' as its highest value for more than half a century," Yoo said. Medtronic is a global healthcare technology leader, with more than 90,000 people across 150 countries. They innovate solutions that treat more than 70 health conditions, from Parkinson’s to diabetes.
And while their healthcare technologies transform the lives of two people every second, every hour, of every day, expect more from them. They keep expanding their impact far beyond. In everything they do, they are engineering the extraordinary.
