Global tech giant Zoho Corporation and Malaysia's central agency for early-stage businesses, Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (Cradle), have formed a strategic alliance.
The firms said in a joint statement that Zoho will use Cradle's MYStartup Single Window platform, an integrated hub that supports company founders at different phases of their journey, to expand its Zoho for Startups program as part of this partnership.
The second Asean nation to be granted access to this scheme is Malaysia, they added. The program is in line with Zoho's worldwide objective to provide startups with the tools they need to establish and grow their businesses. Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Chang Lih Kang was present at the MYStartup NXT micro-conference in Cyberjaya, when the strategic cooperation was revealed.
In order to enable 4,400 Malaysian businesses to use its extensive array of business apps, Zoho has pledged more than US$10 million (RM44 million) in Zoho Wallet credits as part of the agreement. A year's worth of credits will be awarded to each participating startup, giving them the freedom to experiment with and use tools that best suit their operational and expansion requirements.
Through collaborations with more than 200 incubators, accelerators, and startup-enabling organizations, the Zoho for entrepreneurs program says it has worked with more than 18,000 entrepreneurs worldwide since its launch in 2017.
