After having done four years of Marine apprenticeship, he went sailing on different types of ships. Over the years, he kept graduating from Junior engineer and became Chief Engineer in 1997. He worked in well reputed Ship Management Company and Owners in Hong Kong as a superintendent where he learned the ropes of technical management and crewing with own initiative, learned chartering as well. Eventually, Asia World Shipping was formed when one of his friends contacted him to look after a ship.
Through the years, under the leadership of Gill Jagvinder Singh, Asia World Shipping has carved a niche where they are known for their in-depth services. With over 12 years of sailing experience on various oil/gas and chemical tankers, container ships and bulk carriers coupled with 20 plus years shore based experience, Gill Jagvinder Singh possesses a wealth of knowledge and practical skills on ship engines and machinery. In order to remain competitive in the business market, in April 2019 Mr. Gill later established a crewing management company, Crew Sarge Maritime PVT Ltd based in Chandigarh, India.
