Though India’s beverage consumption is primarily driven by tea, coffee has gained massive mainstream acceptance and popularity in the market. Consumers are essentially at a nascent stage and still learning about coffee making- their types, roasting methods, blends, and the art of brewing. Eventual shift in consumer behavior and consumption patterns has led to significant demand for quality coffee blends in the past two decades.
Headquartered in Bangalore, Bayars Coffee has been shifting the needle in developing superior coffee blends for over 46 years now. Founded in 1974, Bayar’s Coffee has been passionate in delighting its customers by offering perfectly roasted coffee. Their commitment to excellence has allowed Bayar’s Coffee to become a house-hold name. Talking about the Indian coffee market and Bayar’s rich history, Director, Nagaraj Rao says, “When we first entered the market, we noticed that coffee roasting business was treated just like a commodity.
There was not much value addition in terms of variations in flavor and blend offerings. Our technical backgrounds helped us study coffee from a scientific perspective. Luckily, we found new technological developments with manufacturers of coffee roasters in Europe. We researched and adopted the latest developments in roasting technology and became one of the first ones to do so. That’s how we specialized in understanding the various coffee origins and bringing out the nuances of coffee characteristics. Bayar’s Coffee has always been a company that acclimatize to the requirements of the industry, keeping in mind the satisfaction of its customers.”
