The scale of the worldwide sustainability consulting market was $8.8 billion in 2022 and is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 5.4 percent from 2023 to 2031 to reach $14.1 billion. Rising environmental consciousness, an increased emphasis on social inclusion, and stringent government rules are all cited as reasons for the market’s expansion. In order to comply with rules established by various governments, contemporary firms all over the world are required to satisfy specific sustainability targets.
Businesses that hire sustainability consulting firms recieve guidance and ideas on how to offer their goods and services sustainably. In order to better safeguard and manage the environment, PT Ibantos Teknologi Hijau, an Indonesian company, acts as a partner or mediator between environmental institutions and businesses. With that goal in mind, the business exhibits a strong sense of resolve and offers welcoming services that value all parties.
Ibantos Teknologi Hijau began its corporate operations in 2015 by providing environmental consultancy services, such as the preparation of environmental documents and frequent environmental monitoring. The consultant assists companies in obtaining more value out of the ‘proper’ program and becoming partners in hazardous waste management as it grows.
PT Ibantos Teknologi Hijau has also become a provider of hazardous waste management equipment, such as incinerators and extractors, also CEMS and SPARING for monitoring equipment. “We believe that with our vision to “become a reliable and trusted company in the field of environmental management consulting services in Indonesia”, we are able to win the mission of “being a companion company in environmental management by providing professional services and using appropriate technology to achieve satisfaction and added value for all parties,” shares Imron Ramdhani, CEO, Ibantos Teknologi Hijau.
Ibantos believes in the strength of the competent experts that work for the company. Hailing from the top educational institutions, these experts also bring good connections in the field of hazardous waste management and emissions.
The founders of the firm have been actively involved in the field for over 15 years and bring a distinctive set of skills and experiences. The team believes in continually learning and increasing its knowledge base to stay updated and current with the advancements in the field.
“We try to integrate our business with several aspects, so that companies feel helped by us. At first, they need environmental documents for their business permit, after running we help them to monitor the environment, or find solutions to manage their waste so they can reduce operational costs. If something is not optimal, we will try to find a solution.
We have good relations with academic institutions and industries, so we can combine research and development and application in the field. In terms of reach, all areas in Indonesia are our market. We are currently living by eating 0.001 percent of the cake of the 100 percent served, and further we have to increase that portion every day”, says Imron.
Going their Unique Way
Ibantos’ approach is extremely thorough and one of the firm’s USPs. Interested clients invite the team at Ibantos to avail the services offered by the firm. The team then conducts an intensive study of the client’s administrative and technical documents, which takes roughly two weeks to one month. The company inspects the completeness of the documents to ensure the company is eligible to operate in Indonesia.

After that, a series of work becomes Ibantos’ responsibility, such as presenting that the company had fulfilled a series of requirements in terms of fulfilling environmental management to the authorized environmental institutions. The team tries to fill in any gaps that may be existing in the client’s organization by suggesting solutions and making all efforts to ensure that the client’s company fulfills every requirement. As a result of the strategic initiatives, the company has been getting positive ROI since the second year of its operations. The company has also constantly strived to retain the best talent, and by the fifth year, was able to form a very strong team that is now leading the company to new levels of achievement and success.
Future Aspirations
PT Ibantos started as an environmental consulting company that only focused on helping client companies prepare environmental documents for business permits, which is a necessity in Indonesia. However, currently, the firm is working to support the production process with its provision of a small workshop and studies as well as research using the existing facilities.
In the coming years, the firm is looking forward to developing into a medium-large-sized research laboratory, focusing on industrial optimization or sensor work related to the environmental sector. Another thing that is possible is to build an academy or specialty school. With these ideas, the firm plans upon expanding awareness among potential clients, and offer the most period relevant, as well as client-centric solutions.
