The partners have completed several design projects recently, particularly those related to cold storage facilities. With a resort that experienced AC breakdowns within a year of installation, the company has initiated an air conditioning project. Kilojoule greatly aided the resort by advising them on the best types of A/C systems to employ, constructed from special materials, and linking them to the makers.
The company has also worked on projects for a commissary kitchen that effectively exhausts smoke, an innovative thermal energy storage technology air conditioning system for a well-known local burger company using a special phase change material instead of halocarbon refrigerant, a processing and cold storage facility for salmon of a publicly listed company that eventually bought their partner out from another country, and the only sausage casing manufacturer outside of North America, and Mexico.

This is because the country is still catching up with its neighbours, and significant measures are being taken to quickly bring the country to par with the surrounding nations. Currently, the country only has 0.5 percent volume of the total cold chain capacity thus, during summer, all cold storage facilities are full and refrigerated trucks are always in demand. Likewise, since there are no refrigerated facilities in major provinces, food wastage especially plant and fruit produce goes as high as 25 percent. The firm is working to find solutions to these issues which are facing the Philippine population through its innovative solutions.

Dominador De Guzman Castro Jr. (Jojo) overcame hardships to earn an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the City of Manila. From a young age, Jojo started working, which instilled a passion for starting his own business. Having worked with several governmental and private companies throughout his career, developing his skills and building strong business acumen, he built multiple businesses over the years with different partners, a couple of which are still running.
