Hearing healthcare is a critical health concern often neglected by the masses until significant hearing loss occurs. The lack of awareness around hearing issues and the stigma towards hearing devices prevents individuals from undergoing the diagnostic processes. Additionally, the high costs of hearing aids further discourage people from adopting hearing devices or seeking help unless necessary.
On the one hand, the hearing healthcare sector has been making tremendous strides with innovative features such as open-fitting, advanced signal processing to understand speech better in noise, rechargeable capacity, and supporting Bluetooth connectivity, making the devices easy to use. Nevertheless, on the other hand, there remains a lack of holistic treatment options as many experts focus on physical treatment, ignoring the social and emotional aspects of hearing loss.
Upon encountering the life-altering impact that hearing loss has on individuals as well as their families, Sharad Govil, CEO & Chief Audiologist of Amazing Hearing Group dedicated his life to bridging the gap between communication barriers and helping both children and elderly with hearing loss across the APAC region, having worked in public hospitals in Singapore, New Zealand and then for hearing aid manufacturers like Sonova and GN in Asia.
Today, as the CEO & Chief Audiologist of the company founded in 2013 with five hearing clinics across Singapore, he is dedicated to increasing awareness around hearing healthcare while providing extended support to his patients.
Raising Awareness
As a seasoned audiologist backed by 20 years of thriving experience and consistent learning, Sharad recalls how his journey within this field started upon the suggestion of his brother, along with his only desire to explore novel opportunities outside of the home. Yet, what began as a leap of faith for him rapidly transformed into his life’s calling. Upon encountering the life-altering impact of hearing loss on individuals and their families, he dedicated his life to bridging the gap between communication barriers and helping everyone in need.
“As I immersed myself in the field, I quickly realized the profound impact hearing loss can have on a person’s life. Witnessing the struggles and frustrations of individuals with hearing impairments ignited a sense of purpose, driving me to find solutions for those in need. While my initial motivation may not have been the traditional ‘calling’ that some may associate with this field, it has evolved into a genuine passion and dedication to making a positive impact. I am committed to providing the highest quality of care and improving the lives of individuals with hearing loss. I am grateful for the journey that has led me to where I am today”, shares Sharad Govil, CEO & Chief Audiologist, Amazing Hearing Group.
Throughout his journey within the industry, he has passionately dedicated and challenged himself to conquer every opportunity that allowed him to grow and develop into the expert he is today. Immersing himself in continuous learning, he explored distinctive experiences of working under the mentorship of senior professionals, working with diverse populations in varied areas, from public hospitals to manufacturers, and undergoing training and commercial activities. All these experiences have led him to become the business leader he is today.

Today, as the CEO & Chief Audiologist of Amazing Hearing Group - a Singapore-based company founded in 2013 with five hearing clinics across Singapore, he is dedicated to increasing awareness around hearing healthcare, while providing extended support to his patients.
“We at Amazing Hearing Group are on a mission to make every person hear to the best of their ability and live an amazing life. We aspire to be a clinic that does not just provide hearing devices; I often say that’s just treatment, but we continuously focus on the ‘care’ component. This is where our clinicians and consultants address the social-emotional wellbeing needs of the patient. This is where we make a difference; we connect with our patients and give them holistic care. We focus on providing emotional support to our patients; we are exploring ways to create support groups for our hearing-impaired patients for their overall social and emotional wellbeing”, further shares Sharad.
